The closure allows to both tighten and loosen, so the boldened measurement is the size at the *middle* closure. The closure only has a 1” range!
Ultimately sizing depends on what you’re looking for. These corsets have a nice cinching effect, sometimes one goes smaller to lift the chest and waist train over time. However, I would suggest picking true to size for the most comfort forward fit, with the chance to still go smaller and lift. Or loosen after a dinner date 😋.
